About us

                It was a warm, cloudless, summer night while I was walking down the boardwalk near the ocean.  I had stopped to gaze at the beautiful moon softly reflecting off of the waves.  As I turned to walk, my feet became tangled up in those of a passerby.  Just as she tripped I caught her in my arms.  There I was, under the starry sky, staring into the eyes of the most beautiful being that was ever created.  After a moment of gazing into each other’s eyes, introductions were made.  The magic continued as we walked the beach until sunrise.  It was as if our souls had known each other from the beginning of time.  As we parted ways that morning we ……….

                That is not exactly how it went.  Our story doesn’t begin with a meet cute that belongs in a Nicholas Sparks novel.  Neither of us can actually pinpoint the moment that we first met.  We were both raised in the same small community, the daughter of a Plumber and the son of a Coal Miner.  We attended the same middle, junior high, and high schools.  We both admit to being interested in each other around the age of 14, although nothing came of it until we were in high school. 

                We dated through high school, continued that after graduation, and after a year out of the country for Mr. Clowd, a proposal was finally made.  Our first son was born two years after marriage, with 4 more following within the next 8 years.  2 High School Diplomas, one Associate’s Degree, one Bachelor’s Degree, 5 kids, 1 dog, and 6 moves later, here we are.  Hoping that we are ready for whatever life throws at us next.
